Two New Start Ups in Otaki Beach

Sharing is caring!

I was pleased to see on my bike ride the other day that two new small businesses had started up in Otaki Beach.

Just the other night I was discussing with some mates how a lot of the cafes and eateries had closed down recently, and there weren’t many options to go to for a family meal.

It seems they haven’t closed down so much as just taken a new form.

This is Lean To Cafe, a small streetfront cafe bar that serves barista coffee provided by the Kapiti Coffee Company. Run by Rusty.

This is the new food cart run by Maree Thorburn (previously of the Railway Hotel) which offers a great selection of pub style food down at Otaki Beach.

Great to see them up and running. Hopefully they can hang around a while… with a bit of local support.
